It would help us if you could let us know how many factsheets you are distributing...just drop
us a quick email and let us know how many copies you intend to
distribute.
The
factsheets cover issues like the importance of healthy lifestyle,
healthy lunchboxes, the importance of breakfast, hydration, fruit and
vegetable consumption, TV addiction and physical activity.
We have provided links to a limited range of factsheets below, but if
you register with us we will send you a new factsheet every month. Registration is
free... simply send an email to us by clicking here.
If web access is a problem for you, we can send you factsheets to schools by post.

How To Use the Factsheets
Schools often use our factsheets to support health related school
policy. For example, if your school adopts a healthy eating/lifestyle
policy (like the example here),
providing parents with our factsheet on healthy
school lunchboxes (which you can see by clicking here)
will help parents to see the relevance of your policy.
In our experience, parents are grateful that the school has provided them
with relevant information. In many cases, parents will have received no
prior help on this issue. If you are distributing factsheets through your
school, we advise you to distribute one or two factsheets every
term.
Most of our factsheets are focused on National School parents. In the
near future, we will be providing parallel factsheets that would be more
suitable for secondary schools.
We suggest that the initial factsheet you circulate to parents should be our
Introduction to
Lifestyle Issues.
